Firstly, I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year, and hope you all had a great Christmas.
Thank you to all students and their families/friends who supported C.K.A last year, helping 2010 to be a very successful year.
C.K.A competed at many competitions throughout the year including Littleport, Stratford, Kent, Birmingham, Nottingham, Gorleston and of course our own shows in Bury St Edmunds and Walsham-Le-Willows.
Congratulations to all who represented the club at these competitions, Gold, Silver and Bronze medals were achieved at the I.C.O British Open in Stratford Upon Avon.
Congratulations also, to all those that graded throughout the year. As you all know, only those that are of the highest standard are invited to grade, hence why we are congratulated on the standard of our students from clubs all over the country.
I was honoured to receive Promoter of the Year Award 2010, presented to me by Dave Munro, and Bin Tyler under the W.K.A. I also passed my Boxing Leader course in London under the A.B.A and Police Community Clubs of Gt. Britain. I am due to take my Level 1 Boxing Course in February/March of this year, with the same prolific Coach Mr Cliff Perkins.
Additional to my existing C.R.B check, I have also been enhanced C.R.B checked under the A.B.A, Police Community Clubs of Gt. Britain, and Suffolk Coastal District Council. I have also completed an up to date First Aid Course recently, and will be refreshing my Coaching the Disabled, and Safeguarding Children, courses in March.
Lewis Dunnett passed his Level 1 Coaching Course and First Aid in 2010. He will be refreshing his First Aid Course this year, along with Lloyd and Mandy. Lloyd will also be doing his Cadet Coaching Course, under the I.C.O this year.
C.K.A will be going into Schools in the Bury St Edmunds area during January/February, promoting an eight week course to be held at the Bury St Edmunds Leisure Centre under the Sports Unlimited programme. Sports Unlimited have already had a lot of interest shown in this course, all looking positive for C.K.A.
Mondays training sessions at Woolpit will be a mixed sparring class, 7.15 -8.45pm. Those wishing to take part will need 16oz gloves.
Please take a look at the Events Page, where you will see we have a very busy 2011 planned at C.K.A.
I thank you all once again for your loyal support and look forward to another successful year.
